Matt Lipps was born in 1975 and received his MFA from the University of California, Irvine. He has been included in numerous exhibitions in New York, Athens, Berlin, San Francisco and most recently in Living History II, curated by Dean Valentine and Marc Selwyn at Marc Selwyn Fine Art. His work is part of the LACMA and Hammer Museum permanent collections, and has been featured in numerous publications including Picnic Magazine and ANPQuaterly. Lipps currently lives and works in San Francisco, CA where he is an Associate Professor at San Francisco State University.
